FIPS Compliant Agents

ObserveIT Agents are FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) compliant. Both Windows and Unix/Linux Agents comply with the FIPS security standard and can be deployed on any supported FIPS-enabled machine.

The Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption protocol is used to secure traffic between the ObserveIT Agents and the ObserveIT Application Server. For instructions on how to configure ObserveIT to work with the TLS protocol, see Configuring ObserveIT to Use TLS for Securing Traffic.

For instructions on how to enable TLS encryption between the ObserveIT Agents and the ObserveIT Application Server, see Enabling TLS on the ObserveIT Application Server/Web Console Server.
